Artist Tutor
David has worked as a freelance artist tutor since 2018 for various organisations including Dundee Contemporary Arts and The McManus Art Gallery & Museum. He has also delivered workshops with the Dundee Print Collective for projects such as Arbroath 2020, Poster Playground at Dundee Design Festival 2019, Exodus at Hot Chocolate Trust and Two Night Stands at the Cooper Gallery and has run individual and series of workshops for organisations including Amina’s Inspire, Connect & Enable Group, Dundee International Woman’s Centre, Forfar Art Gala, Fun A Day Dundee and the Maxwell Centre.
ST/OP Photography Group
The ST/OP Photography Group is part of the Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust ST/ART Project and originally developed in response to restrictions during the Covid Pandemic. For participants with long term health conditions and their carers, the group meets monthly on Zoom with Lead Artist David to work on photographic ideas and techniques through activities, group discussions and field trips.

Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust
David has delivered several programmes for Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust including Sharing Photographs and Loving Photography (in collaboration with The McManus Art Gallery & Museum), both during the COVID19 national lockdowns of spring 2020 and winter 2021 respectively. In autumn of 2018 he worked with THAT in collaboration with the Dundee University Tap & Talk iPad Group to deliver a course on using the iPad camera and various apps as a communication tool for people with aphasia. He also regularly works with THAT’s ST/ART programme delivering short participatory arts courses in photography and printmaking alongside the ST/OP Photography Group.
